Baby can rock it out with this play gym that features a unique musical mat that responds to your little one’s kicks and bats. Start out by setting the attached boom box speaker to long play mode – your newborn will be entertained by 30 minutes of music while laying and playing with the dangling, music-themed activity toys. For tummy time, set the speaker to short play mode. The 3 instruments on the mat reward baby’s touch with fun sounds, encouraging your wee one to push up, reach & bat. As your mini musician grows, remove the arches to let baby sit up and put on a musical show. Tots can even discover how to make the song grow by hitting the same instrument twice in a row! And when baby’s “on break,” detach the electronics and throw the mat in the washer to be ready for the next show.

Good concept, bad product. The mat is a lot smaller then any other play mat I’ve seen. Because it’s a musical mat, the music attachment can be detached (which was needed because it was not long enough for my baby who was 24inches long. My sons feet went past the music markers). It just looked funny because there’s a small play mat on the floor and then the music mat 3 inches away. The arches are not high. I did like the music and the toys attached. Now the music is broken, tried replacing the batteries and it still…

My baby LOVES this thing! We take the toys … My baby LOVES this thing! We take the toys off and bring them with us – or strap them on to her jumper and swing. It’s hands on feature makes tummy time a bit more enjoyable for her. I wish the mat was a LITTLE bigger (or at least longer on one side) – hence the 4 stars and not 5. Her feet hang off and she has trouble rolling over without bringing the whole thing down. I use a yoga mat under it to keep it soft on my tile, so her feet have cushion. But it keeps her entertained for a long time…

Jeremy says:

Flimsy with clunky speaker You’re better off buying the piano kicking one. Baby thinks sounds are associated with the clunky speaker and tries to figure out the speaker instead of pushing on the buttons on the mat. The bars flop around because there’s nothing rigid on the mat to secure to (unlike the piano one which is sturdy). He liked the dangling toys though so I just hooked them on the other one.
